Feeling Festive at the Manchester Christmas Markets - Blogmas Day 9

Sunday, December 09, 2018

I'd wanted to visit Manchester's Christmas markets for quite some time now, since they're the best markets in a close proximity to where I live, and so when I moved to university in Manchester I knew that it'd be the perfect opportunity to check them out. Needless to say, I've been to them quite a few times now and absolutely adore it - it seriously is such a magical place! I thought that I'd take you with me on a trip and show you the gorgeous sights since it really is a must-visit this December!

Whether you're looking for food and drink, present ideas or festive decorations, the Christmas markets are honestly such a lovely place to visit. They look incredibly cute and festive, being the perfect place to visit if you want an injection of Christmas in your day. You can tell from the photos just how adorable they are, and believe it or not these photos really don't do them justice!

The location is in Albert Square, being a grand and scenic spot for the markets, and it's also the main sight of the Christmas lights which really adds to the festivity. However that's not all, as they're actually spread around the city as well, meaning there are many market stalls for you to explore!

Like any Christmas markets, you'll have to resist all of the delicious treats and foods on offer, since there's an insane amount to choose from, although I do remember seeing a cookie dough brownie that I've been dying to go back and try! Me and Aiden decided to try the Yorkshire pudding wraps, which I've wanted to try for ages since I'm pretty obsessed with roast dinners, and I have to say it definitely lived up to the expectations! It was super filling and a unique take on Christmas dinner and street food, so I'd highly recommend getting one if you can (in the Exchange Square stalls outside The Arndale!)

The Manchester Christmas markets are honestly the perfect place to visit with friends or family, whether it's just for a quick visit while exploring the city or to chill out for the day. Regardless of whether you want to pick up some Christmas presents, have a spot of mulled wine or indulge in the gorgeous deserts, I'd highly recommend visiting Manchester's Christmas markets this year. I'll definitely be heading there again before Christmas!

Thank you very much for reading this blog post and I hope you enjoyed it! If you've been to the Manchester Christmas markets then I'd love to know your thoughts in the comments, and if not I'd like to know which markets are the best near you? I'll see you all tomorrow with another blogmas post, so goodbye for now!

Love from Daisy x
