My Updated Skincare Routine

Saturday, September 13, 2014

It feels like ages since I've discussed my skincare routine, probably because the last time I did was in one of my first posts! Since then, I've tried out quite a few new products and stuck with some old favourites to try and find a routine that fits me.Today I thought I'd share with you what products I currently use. This will probably change a lot in the future, but right now this is what fits me.

To remove my eye makeup, I use the Simple Kind To Eyes Eye Makeup Remover, which has been a favourite of mine for quite some time now. It has no oils, perfumes or colours meaning it isn't greasy and doesn't upset my skin or cause breakouts. I find this works really well and is able to quickly remove all of my eye makeup, including waterproof mascara. It's such a great product that you can't go wrong with.

Next I use Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water, which I've only had for a few weeks now. I'd heard nothing but great reviews about it and was delighted when my mum picked one up. I have to say it lives up to it's reputation. It isn't harsh or too strong like a lot of other cleansers yet it works really well. You can also use it on your eyes and lips, which is a bonus. After using this, my skin always feels refreshed and clean.

Moisturising is actually the product that I'm least happy about in this routine. I recently discovered that I have combination skin, meaning my face is really oily, except my cheeks and around my nose. The T-Zone Moisturiser I have is quite greasy, so I only apply it to the problematic areas. I don't like buying new items until I've used up my current ones, but if you have any recommendations then I'd be happy to hear them!

The last step in my skincare routine is spot cream. I haven't changed this in a while, as it's the only one that works well for me. My Quinoderm spot cream has 10% benzoyl peroxide, the strongest they make it. This was prescribed to me and it has drastically improved my spots, even though they're still quite bad. I love this as it's really strong and has been a saviour for me in the past, unlike weaker drugstore spot creams.

Of course this skincare routine isn't set in stone and I can change bits of it if I want to. If you guys have any recommendations or products that you can't live without, leave them down in the comments and I'll possibly try them. Thanks for reading and I'll see you tomorrow for another Autumn Winter Catwalks post.

Love from Daisy x
