Hair Tutorial- Donut Bun

Friday, May 09, 2014

Hello everyone! It's my first proper post back, so I thought I'd bring you an extra blog post, which will be a hair tutorial. Enjoy!

First of all, ignore the fact that I'm wearing a blouse and I have barely any makeup on. I took this photo before school this morning but I wanted to share it as I was really pleased with my hair, which is in a donut bun.

To complete this hairstyle, you will need 2 bobbles, a donut bun, a brush, some bobby pins, hairspray (optional), dry shampoo (optional) and any decorations (optional).

I started by spraying some dry shampoo on the front of my hair and the sides, as this is where it needs it most. I rubbed it in with my brush until my hair looked better. If you don't need to do this, then feel free to skip this step. I then tied my hair up into a ponytail using the thicker bobble of the two. Make sure it is right on top of your head as you will be able to see the bun better when it is finished.

Then take the donut and pull all of the hair through it, so it is around your bobble. Spread the hair around it so it's evenly distributed and you can't see the donut in any places. Once you are happy with this, put the other bobble around it  to secure it in place. Take all of the remaining hair and wrap it around the donut, making sure it is neat. Secure this in place with a few bobby pins so that it won't come undone or move throughout the day. If you want to add any decorations, simply add these now.

VoilĂ ! This is the finished hairstyle, which I think is really cute for summer! I simply love it! Thank you for reading!
