I seriously love finding a bargain, and so when I stumbled upon Pretty Little Thing's £5 dress section, I knew it was necessary ground for me to cover. I don't go out clubbing extremely often, but when I get dressed up it's nice to have some new outfits to try rather than wearing the same few dresses constantly. For only £5, it's the perfect opportunity to experiment with new styles and buy some nice outfits, and you won't feel as guilty if you only wear them a couple of times. I purchased a few dresses from their website and thought I'd try them on for you guys, to hopefully show you how even for only £5 you can still create a gorgeous evening look.

Red Bardot Bodycon Dress

Red is normally a colour I avoid at all costs since I don't think it suits me that well and also has the tendency to wash me out. However, I really wanted to try this bardot bodycon dress as it looked gorgeous on the model and for £5 it was a risk I was willing to take! I actually really like how this looks on, and it's a bold but gorgeous statement to make. I will say that this one is ever so slightly big on me around the chest, and it's also quite sheer, so I'd make sure to conceal any underwear you're wearing thoroughly, but all-in-all it's a gorgeous dress that was a real bargain.

Leopard Print Strappy Plunge Bodycon Dress

As soon as I saw this leopard print number, I knew that I wanted to try it, and for £5 it was an absolute steal! I normally steer well clear of anything remotely resembling a plunge cut, since they never normally suit me, but this one has a more subtle, modest fit that's actually really flattering. Despite being a bodycon dress, it was actually a bit looser on me, but still looked gorgeous and definitely accentuated my figure. I've actually seen people styling this dress with a jumper underneath, which is another alternative for dressing it down! Note that since writing this post the dress has actually gone up to £8, but it's still an absolute bargain!

Black Ribbed Underbust Detail Bodycon Dress

A 'little black dress' is an absolute essential in everyone's wardrobe, and so when I realised that I didn't actually own one, I knew I had to change this. I love the cut-out detail that this PLT dress offers, adding some interest and intrigue to an otherwise basic, staple garment. Although the dress is intended to have underbust detailing, it appears to fit comfortably just below the bra on more petite figures like my own, which is equally as flattering. Since it's essentially a plain black dress, you can style this in many different ways and really dress it up or down, depending on the occasion and your own personal style. The only thing I'd say is that it does tend to be one you have to readjust throughout the night and ensure that it stays in place!

I hope you enjoyed seeing me try out these dresses, and I'm definitely impressed with the outcome! I know that my blog posts have been sporadic, to say the least, since I've been extremely busy with university and my part-time job, but hopefully during summer that'll change since I have lots of ideas for posts and hopefully a blog relaunch coming your way in a few months! Thank you very much for reading and I'll see you soon with a new post!
