OOTD and Purchases

Thursday, August 28, 2014

Hello everyone! Today I thought I'd bring you an OOTD post since I haven't done one in forever, despite it being a highly requested post. Since I went shopping yesterday, I also thought I'd share my purchases with you. I hope you enjoy it!

Before I properly start this post, I'd just like to thank everyone who read my previous post, which was my Back to School Supplies (you can find it here). I didn't think it'd be that popular, but within a few hours of being uploaded, it became my most popular post of all time, which is crazy. My blog is growing rapidly and I want to thank all of you for being a part of it. Anyway, on with the post!

The top I wore today was actually one that I picked up in Orlando back in October. It's white and has lots of sequins on that form different patterns, which reminds me a lot of aztec print. It's very sheer, so I wear it with a vest underneath. I really like this top and I think it looks pretty and feminine, but unfortunately I couldn't find it online as I bought it almost a year ago.

I paired this top with my new skirt from Zara. I was dying to wear this skirt and since the weather wasn't too bad today, I wanted to try it out. It's high-waisted and has zip detailing at the front, which was visible as I tucked my top in. The patterns throughout are huge roses but it's more abstract in my opinion. I especially like the colours, as it's primarily pink with hints of orange and blue. Again, I couldn't find the link as they don't sell this skirt in the UK.

To tie these two items together, I wore a basic pale pink cardigan that I picked up in Primark. It was only £3 which is super cheap, especially as I only wanted something to take the chill off of me. It's a simple design and isn't anything special, but I actually like how it complimented my outfit. If you want a cardigan, these ones are really good quality and don't break the bank.

On to the purchases! The first thing I bought was a pair of black leggings from Primark. My old ones are getting a bit small and worn out now, so seeing these for only £2.50 was meant to be. They're really elasticated and comfy to wear, yet they aren't baggy or loose. This is great as a lot of leggings can be too tight to wear. They're also long-legged, so if you can never find pants to fit you, these will be great.

The next thing I bought, also from Primark, was a pair of denim skinny jeans. These are another basic item that I needed a new pair of. I've had jeans in the past but they're all too small for me now, so I got these for only £5.90. Again, they are quite long in the leg but tight fitted around my thighs, yet not uncomfortable. They're a dark blue with gold stitching, which I feels really adds to the jeans. I'll definitely be wearing these a lot throughout the winter.

I went in Forever 21 and spotted a lovely dress for winter, which I just couldn't resist picking it up. It's more like a smock style as it flares out at the waist, yet is meant to be looser in the body. It's black and covered in blue and white flowers, which I think are very simplistic yet pretty. The skirt part is quite elegant and flowing with a few sections missing where it's filled in with black lace. Overall, I think this dress is great and it'd be nice to wear with tights and boots in the winter.

My final purchases were from Boots and they're the Collection Lasting Perfection concealers. I've talked about these loads and have used them for a long time now, but mine had been running out more recently. Since they're such a good product and they cover redness, spots and dark circles excellently, I had to repurchase them. The reason I bought two is because I vary between being a shade 2, shade 3 or in between. At £4.19 each, it was a great deal buying these and I'm glad to finally have them back in my makeup collection.

Thank you for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed seeing what I was wearing yesterday and my purchases; I enjoyed sharing them with you. If you want any more posts like this, let me know in the comments down below and I'll make sure I write more for you. Thanks for reading and I'll see you tomorrow for another Back To School post, which will be featuring hairstyles.

Love from Daisy x

  2. Can't live without Lasting Perfection concealer, its one of those products that I still want to be using when I'm 50. I wish I lived near a Forever 21, I'd be so skint but it would be worth it.
